A Tribute
It is with great sadness that we have to inform you that David, a much-loved, longstanding member of the Groves Group family passed away in the early hours of Wednesday, January 8th, 2020 with his family by his side.
He died in hospital following a short illness with his standard, unwavering positivity and an unrivalled optimism for life.
David joined the Groves in 2015 and was renowned, not only for his size and; we knew he was around, but more for his happy demeanour and his willingness to help, no problem was too big or too small for him, he was fun with a sense of humour, his laid back approach to everything in life and had a unique ability to put you at ease with yourself when you spent time with him.
David’s likability blessed him with many friends both in and out of work. He was a key player in so many of our CQC & Infection Control Visits and will be sorely missed by us all.
He departs leaving a legacy and the very best example of how to live a life; with love, good friends, positivity, and laughter and with a happy, happy, happy heart.
We will miss him so very much. The Groves corridors will never be the same without him.
There will be a Cheers to Dave “Doughnut” for everyone today as this is what he wanted, he lived his life happy and doesn’t want anyone to feel sad today, – enjoy your “cheers doughnut”
The Partners will be planting a tree for Dave in the Groves Courtyard so that he will always be with us.
